What type of Canon is that? I have an older model but I just recently bought a new lens: 50mm f/1.8. I am having difficulty getting pictures with good light (except for outdoors). Any suggestions?

ReplyDeleteIt's a Canon Rebel XSi. I just play around with the settings when using that lens, I typically will shoot in M mode and auto ISO and just adjust the shutter speed until I find the right setting with the amount of light provided.

Thanks for your reply! I always shoot manual and leave my ISO at 400, I was told that it can make pictures grainy so I don't mess with it too much. I am always adjusting shutter speed but it seems like when I'm inside I get orangy/yellowy tinted pictures :( which is due to poor lighting from my understanding! Thanks dear for your input! I love all your blogs and currently stalk you! ;)

I head that as well with the ISO, however, it also pertains to how much light is in the room when determining ISO... but I really don't know much about it to be honest.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the orangy/yellowing tinted pictures, check your white balance and switch it to Tungsten when shooting indoors under lightbulbs... that helps whiten out the yellow that comes from indoor lighting.
